We have set an ambitious goal of being carbon neutral by
2020. Through a combination of renewable
energy generation, conservation, and offsets connected to student learning, we
scrutinize our energy use. Though our
building square footage has increased by one-third in the past several years,
we have been able to see reductions in our overall energy use by almost 20
percent. Our new Woodchip Central Heating
Facility is a state-of-the-art classroom where students can learn about renewable energy.
