We are so pleased that you are interested in Hotchkiss. No doubt you
have something in common with the many students the admission office
meets each year – these students are certain that more out of school
and more out of life are possible.
Giving our students incredible opportunity is what Hotchkiss is about.
Living in the midst of that sweeping opportunity and being ready and
encouraged to embrace it are at the core of
the Hotchkiss experience.
Hotchkiss is a world-class school with a small-town feel. Our
students come from 38 states and 25 countries, and 41 percent of
the student body are students of color. We have a tradition founded
in 1891, 597 students with a broad range of talents and interests,
and a curriculum with the choices, advantages, and intensity of
a large school. Yet, we also have a 5:1 student-teacher ratio,
and the care, support, and guidance offered only in a close-knit
community small enough for everyone to know one another.
With approximately 37% of our students receiving
financial assistance from an
aid budget of $8.55 million, we are able to bring students to this
campus who would not have been able to attend otherwise. We are
committed to making Hotchkiss affordable to as many students as possible.
Choosing the school that is right for you is a process that
requires care and patience. The best way to know if Hotchkiss is
