The Hotchkiss School Alumni Award
Since the inception of the award in 1931, the Alumni Association has
honored 80 alumni. Selected by the nominating committee of the
board of governors of the Alumni Association, each recipient has, through
personal achievement, brought honor and distinction to himself and the
School.

Community
Service Award
Giving of oneself--whether it be time, talent, or resources--is crucial
to making the world in which we live a better place. The idea of service
at Hotchkiss can be found in the School's oldest student organization,
St. Luke's Society, whose primary goal is to render social service. While
all students participate in some form of service during their Hotchkiss
years, many go on as alumni to take leadership roles in their communities
and professions. Every year, Hotchkiss recognizes the service contributions
of one or more of its graduates to their respective communities, whether
local, national, or international.
Established in honor of Hotchkiss' centennial in 1992, the Community
Service Award recognizes alumni who "in the estimation of the nominating
committee of the board of governors of the alumni association, demonstrate
through their volunteer and/or vocational endeavors an exemplary sense
of caring, initiative, and ingenuity."
