Girls golf second at Pippy O'Connor

The girls varsity golf team turned in another impressive performance in a season full of highlights with their runner-up finish at this year's Pippy O'Connor tournament on May 15.

The Bearcats (16-1-1) finished second with 354 total strokes, trailing only host Taft and edging out Greenwich Academy by just two strokes.

Daphne Chao '20 led the way for Hotchkiss with an 83 on the 18-hole course, good for fourth overall at the event. Courtney Breen '18 and Amanda Kang '18 tied for sixth with scores of 86. Team captain Helena Park '18 clinched the place for the team over the Gators with her 99.

Samantha Thomas '19 and Claire Kim '20 also competed at the event.

The Bearcats will return to Watertown this Wednesday to compete in the Founders League championships.
