Hotchkiss beat Williston 46-24 and Chase 42-21 before falling to Taft 54-27 in its final home meet of the season on Saturday Jan. 28.

A.J Caba '20 had a dominant afternoon wrestling in the 132 lb. weight class, pinning all three opponents he faced despite suffering an injury early on.

Other standout performances came from Josh McCarthy '18 in the 170 lb. weight class and Anton de Lesseps '18 in the 120 lb. weight class as they won two matches each.

In the first meet against Williston, Caba faced a tough match, wrestling for three rounds before finally pinning his opponent. Other victories came from pins by McCarthy, Andrew Vagliano '17 and Peter Coumantaros '19 and a win by decision by Henry Stanton '17.

Next up was a Chase squad where quick pins from de Lesseps and Caba led the Bearcats to victory. The last pin came from Coumantaros in the third round of a very exciting match.

Finally, Hotchkiss faced a very strong Taft team where pins from Caba, McCarthy, de Lesseps and Dean Parenteau '18 were not enough to stop a Bearcat defeat.

Hotchkiss travels to Hopkins on Wednesday Feb. 1 for its final meet before the Western New Englands tournament on Saturday Feb. 11.
