Boys Basketball

Philosophy

The Hotchkiss boys’ basketball program has a very long and rich tradition of competing at a high level and of preparing our student-athletes for competition at all collegiate levels. Hotchkiss competes in in the Founders League, the Tri-State League, as well as the Class A Level of NEPSAC. Our program prides itself with combining high academic standards and highly competitive athletics. The coaching staff also takes great pride in helping each member of the program develop into the best student-athlete and teammate they can be.

-- Yassine Talhaoui, Head Coach, Boys Varsity Basketball

Highlights

The team has made the New England Class A tournament in three of the past five years, finishing as runner up in 2012-13. The team also won five consecutive Tri-State League titles from 2008-2012, and won the Founders League in 2008.

Facilities

The varsity team practices and plays in Fowle Gym, a classic high school, wooden-floored court, where students, families, and fans overflow the stands, crowd the sidelines, and make so much noise that it can be difficult for anyone to hear. The Forrest E. Mars Jr. Athletic Center also boasts a fully staffed training room, a fitness center, and numerous locker rooms and team rooms.
