Mr. Brown is also on the faculty at Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, MA., where he teaches voice and directs the Simon's Rock Chorus and Anonymous 10, a women's a cappella early music group. As a professional singer, he has performed hundreds of concerts throughout the U.S. In addition to singing oratorio and opera, he is a frequent recitalist and has given premiere performances by a number of American composers. Jack is the Artistic Director of Berkshire Lyric, a community music non-profit that celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013. At Berkshire Lyric he conducts three choruses and is responsible for a number of creative educational programs for young musicians in the three-state area. A native of Philadelphia and a long-time New Yorker, he lives in Stockbridge with wife Cindy. He has two daughters, one in college and one in graduate school.
