Ann Villano holds a B.A. in English from Colby College and an M.F.A. in film from Columbia University, School of the Arts. Throughout the 1990s Ms. Villano worked in New York City as an editor and director. She completed projects for PBS, BBC, Cinemax HBO, Lifetime Television, and New Castle Communications, in addition to working on a number of independent films. Several of the films that she has edited have won significant recognition at film festivals, including the Film Festival of International Cinema Students in Tokyo, the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival, the 1997 New York Festivals and The Black Maria Film Festival. Since 2006, Ms. Villano has worked at Indian Mountain School as a film instructor and editor. She lives in Lakeville with her family. During the 2009-2010 year, Ms. Villano will serve as an associate faculty member, teaching PO455 and PO462, our introductory and advanced video courses.
