Gospelfest 2014 includes regional boarding school choirs and special guest singers April 27

Gospelfest is back again, now in its 13th year. All are welcome to The Hotchkiss School’s Katherine M. Elfers Hall, Esther Eastman Music Center Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. to fill the hall with joyful music! The gospel choirs of Hotchkiss and Salisbury Schools will once again host the event. Guests include gospel choirs of other area boarding schools: Westover, Taft, Millbrook and South Kent. Led by music director Michael Whitney Brown, Gospelfest has been going strong year to year since 2001. This year, singers Angela Clemmons of "Give Me Just a Little More Time" fame, renowned Broadway actor and singer Wanda Houston, and singer and music producer Janice Dempsey joining the voices on stage.

Gospelfest creates a festive atmosphere where everyone feels free to express themselves or derive great comfort and joy from the music. This is a very popular event with students and friends from Lakeville, Salisbury, and the surrounding community alike, so please arrive early to secure a seat.
