    Instructor in Art Delores Coan’s ceramics students have explored the versatile medium of clay through a variety of hand-forming, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing techniques. They recently used these skills in an unexpected way: To raise money for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

    At the end of each spring term after the Advanced Placement Art History test has been administered, Instructor in Art History Verena Drake has her AP Art History students work on a project that focuses on a particular area of art history. The 2008 project, which illustrates and defines nearly 60 architectural details, takes the elements of architecture and applies them to The Hotchkiss School campus. Congratulations to Hilary Hamilton '08, Bence Marton '08, Caty Owen '07, and Zeewan Lee '07 for their work on their impressive architectural research.
