The Tremaine Art Gallery at The Hotchkiss School is pleased to present the exhibit Photographs by Robert F. Haiko, Sandra C. Haiko, Fred Cray '75, Sept. 9 - Oct. 22. All three photographers will be showing a selection of works utilizing innovative imaging and printing techniques. A reception will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, 4 - 6 p.m.

Robert Haiko started the photography and film program at The Hotchkiss School in 1969, and was an instructor until his retirement in 2011. Haiko's work is represented in several private collections and museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the University of Arizona Center for Creative Photography, the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY, and the Aperture Foundation. He is the recipient of grants from the Connecticut Commission of the Arts and was a MacDowell Colony fellow.

Sandra Haiko joined the Hotchkiss faculty in 1986 and taught photography until her retirement in 2010. She has been working with hand-colored imagery and other non-traditional photographic methods since the 1970s. Her work has been exhibited in such venues as the Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, CT and the Lyman Allyn Museum in New London, CT.

Fred Cray '75 studied with Robert Haiko at Hotchkiss. Cray's work has been widely exhibited and is in the permanent collections of The Brooklyn Museum of Art and the George Eastman Museum, among other institutions. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.

The Tremaine Gallery is a museum-caliber gallery located in the main building of The Hotchkiss School. With education at the heart of its mission, the gallery hosts six exhibitions a year.
