  • 2013 Community Service Awards presented to Beth Waitkus ’79 and Diego de Sola ’91

    Students, faculty, and special guests enjoyed the Hotchkiss Auditorium program of Friday, April 12, as the alumni recipients of the 2013 Community Service Award spoke movingly about the volunteer efforts that have transformed their lives and the lives of others. Katheryn Allen Berlandi ’88, president of the Hotchkiss School Board of Governors, represented the Board’s Nominating Committee in presenting the awards.

  • Hotchkiss alumnus Tom Reiss wins Pulitzer Prize

    On April 15, the announcement of the 2013 Pulitzer Prizes for Letters, Drama and Music, included the excellent news that Tom Reiss ’82 had won the Prize for Biography for his book, The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristo (Crown; September 2012).

  • Hotchkiss takes steps to address community safety

    In the weeks following the unspeakable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Hotchkiss administrators began a process of extensive and careful review of the School’s safety and security practices. As a result, several actions are being taken that will further address community safety, a commitment that is deeply felt by the School administration.
