Please consider volunteering for Hotchkiss -- it is a wonderful way to get to know the School and other families. Volunteers are critical to the success of parent programs. The following describes the various volunteer roles in more detail:
Note to returning parents: If you already volunteer and do not wish to change your volunteer role(s), there is no need to re-submit this form.
Parent Greeter: Assist on Opening Day and Parents Weekend in greeting other parents, distributing nametags, and answering questions about the School.
International Student Host: Invites students home for school breaks. See separate PDF form below for details.
Hotchkiss Gap Year Network: Hotchkiss invites you to support recent grads on their gap years in the U.S. or abroad by providing help with relocation, internships, housing, or mentoring.
Parent Fundraising Agent: Reaches out to fellow parents, via phone calls and e-mails, for financial support of the Hotchkiss Parent Fund. Training is provided on the Thursday afternoon of Parents Weekend. Parent Agents are invited to the annual Leadership Weekend in late September to learn more about Hotchkiss during various sessions, workshops and meals with faculty, students, and administrators. This is a team of approximately 65 families.
Event Host: Helps to organize and host (either in home or at another venue) events for parents and alumni in various geographic regions.
Parent and Alumni Network (PAN): Assist the Admission Office with tasks related to the recruitment of new students, such as representing Hotchkiss at school fairs in your area, hosting a reception for or conducting interviews with prospective students.
“Hotchkiss Vintage” Clothing Closet Manager: Coordinates annual clothing drive to provide items for Hotchkiss students in need.
