Edsel Ford Memorial Library

Archives & Special Collections serves as a research laboratory for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Hotchkiss community can view examples of fine and decorative arts, sculpture, and rare books that comprise Special Collections, displayed throughout the year in exhibits in Main Building. These exhibits are often woven into the curriculum, allowing students to engage with the collection on a deeper level. Archives serves as the School’s institutional memory, with records, publications, photographs, audiovisual recordings, and other materials that document life at the School since it first opened in 1891.

With more than 1,200 linear feet of material, The Hotchkiss School Archives collects and preserves books, memorabilia, artifacts, and records pertaining to the history of the School.
