Since its founding in 1891, the Hotchkiss School has become an ambassador of education for the best and the brightest students. As a Connecticut private school, Hotchkiss continues its commitment to helping all on their application and admissions journey.
Our financial aid awards meet 100% of a family's demonstrated need and consist of grant money with no loans. We encourage families to use our easy online financial aid estimator to find out how accessible and affordable a Hotchkiss education can be for your family.
In addition, we assign various need-based financial aid scholarships to students who apply for financial aid. Students are automatically selected for these scholarships when they are admitted to Hotchkiss. There is no separate application process. These opportunities are just one of many ways we work to make Hotchkiss education accessible.
Visit our Financial Aid FAQs to answer any questions you may have about the financial aid process. These FAQs include information about financial aid application deadlines, fee waivers, application eligibility, merit-based scholarships and much more.
