Cost Estimate
The cost of your Hotchkiss tuition may vary slightly from the numbers below. These figures will guide you toward a realistic expectation for the upcoming school year. Our fee breakdown includes the cost of boarding school and day school tuition. This number also includes your technology fee and health services fee.
In addition, you may view a list of common expenses that arise. This may include textbooks, school supplies, laundry and personal spending. View the breakdown below for an idea of how much a typical student spends each month or school year.
Making Hotchkiss Affordable
We are dedicated to making Hotchkiss a private school that is accessible to all families. We value diversity in all shapes and seek to make Hotchkiss a place of learning for the best and the brightest. Currently, 34% of our student body receives financial aid, with an average inclusive grant of $65,701.
Our aid goes beyond tuition by helping families cover the costs of books, personal spending money, health insurance and travel assistance. We provide each student with a School-issued MacBook for studying, writing and research.

Payment Plans
All tuition and related fee billing is processed through FACTS Tuition Management (FACTS). After completing your Hotchkiss enrollment contract, you will receive an invitation from FACTS to register and select your payment plan for the year.
Enrollment deposits (and new-student security deposits) are due upon registration in FACTS.
Domestic Student Payment Plans:
- Pay in full (balance due June 1)
- 2 Installments (balance due June 1 and Nov. 1)
- 10 installments (monthly payments from June 1 through March 1)**
**There is a $105 fee for the 10-installment plan, which will be added to your first payment.
Note: Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is mandatory if you elect the 2-installment or 10-installment plans.
International Student Payment Plan:
- Pay in full (balance due June 1)
