Hotchkiss musicians performed in a brilliant showcase of talent and hard work on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Carnegie Hall, one of the world's most recognized and revered concert venues, to a nearly sold-out venue.
Featured performers were Ethan Choi ’26, piano; Isabella Deng ’27, flute; Sophie Elliott ’24, flute; Victoria Fang ’25, piano; Anthony Hu ’25, piano; Yobin Kim ’26, violin; Daniel Li ’24, piano; Boffi Lin ’24, violin; Emma Liu ’26, piano; Jerry Liu ’24, bass; Alex Lu ’27, violin; Isamar Martinez ’24, voice; Max Salzinger ’25, cello; Jeannie Yang ’25, violin; YaoYao Yuan ’27, oboe; Irene Zeng ’26, piano; Alex Zhang ’24, piano; and Olivia Zhang ’25, clarinet.
“It’s an incredible opportunity, not just for performers but also for those who come," Gisele Witkowski, instructor in piano, told The Hotchkiss Record. "Everyone who was chosen has been working extremely hard, and they are very emotionally involved with their pieces.”
