The Hotchkiss Dramatic Association performed a series of student-directed, original shorts for the Hotchkiss community Oct. 23-26. All performances were held outdoors, "promenade style” with the audience and performers moving together to different locations throughout campus.

“These are not your grandpa’s fairy tales,” a somewhat familiar elderly gentleman intoned from his rocking chair on Goodbody Terrace in a promotional video shown to students.  In fact, the updated tales were written by students and incorporated themes of social justice. Students re-worked familiar stories such as The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, as well as the plot of the film Frozen

With the guidance of Parker Reed, instructor in English and theatre, students met the challenge of producing theatre during a global pandemic by re-imagining the scope and scale of a traditional theatre stage.
