Seniors in the studio art and art history program are advanced students who produce a portfolio in the Honors Advanced Portfolio AR491F and 492S course or produce one through independent study with an art instructor.
Each student's body of work represents not only the culmination of years of study in the program, but also the singular vision of the artist. Many students intend to study art and apply to art schools or undergraduate programs with a portfolio, while others use an art portfolio as a supplement to a regular college application. This year, ten students in the studio art and art history program produced a portfolio.
"A comprehensive portfolio represents a dedicated mindset and a willingness to be deeply invested in the practice of art. Our senior art students demonstrate these qualities and then some," says Brad Faus, The Marie S. Tinker Chair, instructor in studio art, and program director for studio art and art history. The seniors whose online portfolio links are listed below worked with Faus as well as Terri Moore, instructor in studio art and director of the Tremaine Art Gallery.
