Scholastic Art Awards of Connecticut is an affiliate of The Alliance For Young Artists & Writers and recognizes the work of talented young artists in Grades 7 to 12. Submissions are selected on merit and included in a statewide art exhibition held at the Hartford Art School and may be awarded gold or silver keys and honorable mentions. The winners of the gold key award at the close of the exhibit will have their artwork submitted digitally to the National Level Scholastic Art Awards.
Twelve Hotchkiss students from the art program and photography, film, and related media program received awards in this year’s state competition, including seven gold keys, six sliver keys, and an honorable mention. The winners are listed below. Information regarding the exhibit at the Hartford Art School will provided when available. Congratulations to all!
