Athletic Coach Details

Sydney Minnehan joined the Hotchkiss faculty in 2022 as an instructor in English. She earned her B.A. from St. Lawrence University, where she was a recipient of the James Ligon Price III Memorial Prize in Poetry offered in conjunction with the Academy of American Poets University & College Poetry Prize Program and became the first student at her university to win an Intro Journals Project award from the Association of Writers & Writing Programs.

Ms. Minnehan began her career in education at St. Johnsbury Academy. In addition to teaching, she lived as a faculty proctor in a campus dorm and served as an assistant coach for both girls varsity ice hockey and girls varsity ultimate frisbee.
