Athletic Coach Details

Dave Werner joined the Hotchkiss faculty in 2022 as an instructor in mathematics and two-season coach. As a teacher and coach, he is excited to return to his roots: Working directly with students and academic colleagues. In more recent years, Mr. Werner has been in the advancement offices at Westminster School (his alma mater) and The Williston Northampton School.

While at Westminster, he also taught mathematics for 18 years, served as the director of college advising, coached boys basketball and girls tennis, and spent 14 years as a corridor supervisor. Prior to Westminster, he spent two years coaching and teaching at Eaglebrook School.

Mr. Werner earned a B.A. from The University of Vermont and an M.A.L.S. in mathematics from Wesleyan University. He and his wife, Christine, have three children, Corinne, Stephanie and Jack.
