Michael Doyle
Michael joined the Hotchkiss community as an associate director of admission in 2022. In addition to working in the admission office, Michael will be the head coach of the boys varsity hockey team, and he will live in Wieler dormitory with his family. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Connecticut College, where he was a four-year member of the hockey team, and a M.S. in education from the University of New England. Prior to Hotchkiss, Michael had various roles in admissions, teaching, residential life, and coaching responsibilities at Brewster Academy and Berkshire School. As a graduate of Cardigan Mountain School and Choate Rosemary Hall, Michael is passionate about the boarding school experience and looks forward to giving back to The Hotchkiss School community.
Coaching Bio: Coach Doyle comes to Hotchkiss with experience as a head coach from Brewster Academy where the team had the most successful season and highest win total in over a decade. He also served as an assistant coach at Berkshire School. Coach Doyle played at Choate Rosemary Hall where he was the captain in his junior and senior seasons leading the team to a 2010 New England Large School Championship. Coach Doyle went on to play and graduate from Connecticut College as a four-year defenseman.
