Doug Kneeland '98 first joined the faculty of The Hotchkiss School in 2002, spending his first year out of college as a sabbatical replacement in the Classics Department. He returned to Hotchkiss in 2005 after two years at Western Reserve Academy (OH), where he taught, coached, and served as dorm parent.

Having graduated from Hotchkiss in 1998 with a Classics Diploma and eight varsity letters, Doug went to Swarthmore College, where he received an Honors major in Latin and minor in Greek. Additionally, he earned 13 varsity letters there as a member of the football team, baseball team, indoor/outdoor track team, and golf team.

In 2010, Doug earned his Master of Latin from the University of Florida. Doug currently teaches Latin and Greek and lives in Edelman Dorm with his wife, Crystal Akers, his two sons Teddy and Henry, and his dog, Dodger.
