Boys Hockey
Philosophy
Hotchkiss Hockey has a proud and successful history that includes not only winning New England Championships but also sending players on to college and professional careers. Recent alums in the National Hockey League have included Torrey Mitchell ’04 and Luke Glendening ’08. Many of our players have enjoyed outstanding college careers, ranging from schools across North America. We have had graduates play at a member school in all of the major Division I conferences, as well as every Division III NESCAC School.
We are continually looking for players who want to challenge themselves on and off the ice. As a hockey player at Hotchkiss, players will know they are a part of a special team and program, which extends well beyond their current season or high school careers. We want players who want to be a part of a team that values hard work and a commitment to their teammates. Working with others to achieve a defined common goal (winning games and championships) is a rewarding and valuable skill that we reinforce in our players daily.

Highlights
Facilities
The hockey programs at Hotchkiss have benefited from the state-of-the-art 212,000-square-foot Forrest E. Mars Jr. Athletic Center. Our athletic facility includes two rinks, the Thomas Schmidt Rink (NHL size) and the Andrew K. Dwyer and Martin Dwyer III Rink (Olympic size). The fitness center and training room are only steps away from the newly renovated locker room.
The quality of our rinks and athletic facility plays a major role in the development of our highly skilled players. This beautiful dual-rink facility allows the varsity and junior varsity teams to practice four times per week, play games, and complete their strength and conditioning programs and any necessary rehabilitation on site with our certified strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers.
