Ultimate Frisbee

Hotchkiss Ultimate is guided by the Spirit of the Game, and seeks to represent the School in the best light possible through fair play and respect for our opponents. Since the spring of 2000, many of our players have joined with little or no experience in the sport, so we take great joy in developing skills, building confidence, and strengthening the sense of community within our teams.

Since 2009, the varsity Ultimate Frisbee team at Hotchkiss has a 182-54 record and has won the Connecticut State championships in 2015 and 2018, won three New England Championships (2009, 2015, and 2019), and finished either second or third in New Englands in seven other years. More importantly, Hotchkiss has won numerous Spirit of the Game trophies, recognizing the positive attitude and commitment to fair play that the team upholds.

In May 2019, the Hotchkiss Ultimate Frisbee program reunited to celebrate the team’s first 20 years as an official school program. Follow this link to read more about the reunion.

In the spring we have two adjacent fully lined fields that allow us to divide the team into groups to focus on specific skills. We also have the possibility of playing on a lit turf field.
