Boys Cross Country Earns First Place at Canterbury Invitational

Varsity boys cross country earned first place at the 50th Annual Canterbury Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23. Bearcats seized four of the top 10 spots!

Copeland Rollins '26 ran to a third-place finish with a time of 16:52, an improvement of 5 minutes and 3 seconds from last year’s performance. He continues to display how summer training is directly related to improvement.

Robert Lazar '27 stayed on target and ran to an impressive sixth-place finish with a time of 17:11.

Captain Axel Nzi '24 finished one place behind Robert with a time of 17:28, an improvement of 1 minute and 18 seconds from last year.

Cooper Grace '27, home-grown talent from Lakeville, passed a group of runners at the end of the race and earned an individual medal with a 10th place finish with a 17:47. He fought off the challenge of two Loomis Pelicans on the home stretch.

Philip Fauver '26 (18:21) and Henry Thompson '27 (18:35) finished strong in 21st and 22nd place, respectively. Bastien Sever '26 rounded out our top seven with a 29th-place finish with a time of 19:00.
