The boys varsity golf team notched another milestone in the history of the program with a new program-best team score at the Andover Invitational.
The Bearcats posted a new low score of 318 at the event, held at Newport Country Club on April 28, and Michael Gillis '18 tied for low individual score with a 2-over-par 74.
Also representing Hotchkiss at the event were James Horrocks '19, Kuma Matsukata '18, Jonathan Patrick '19, and Kenneth Wu '18. The team score is determined by adding the lowest four individual scores on the day.
The team score put the Bearcats in fourth place overall out of eight teams, narrowly trailing Salisbury (315) and Taft, (312), who all finished well behind champion Deerfield (303).
The team returns to action on Wednesday for a four-way match against Avon, Taft, and Westminster, with golfers teeing off at 2:15 p.m.
