Boys lacrosse wins sportsmanship award

by Roger Wistar

The boys lacrosse program has been awarded the 2017 Bob McHenry Sportsmanship Award.

The award was presented to both the varsity and JV programs by the Connecticut Lacrosse Officials Association and recognizes "a prep school lacrosse program that in the opinion of the officials demonstrates excellent sportsmanship," according to the citation.

This year the varsity program, led by head coach Chris Burchfield, enjoyed a bounce-back season, finishing 7-8 with wins in three of the final five games. The JV program, under new coach Ted Weihman, finished 7-7.
