On Saturday Hotchkiss Hockey faced off against Millbrook to get their second win of the season. The game started off close with Milbrook scoring in the first few minutes. This goal was quickly followed by Hotchkiss with a goal six minutes into the first period. The rest of the period was intense and kept very close between the two teams with quite a few shots but no goals.

The beginning of the second period was packed with action, with the puck staying around Millbrooks goal as both teams tried to use power plays to their advantage. Hotchkiss started the period off strong with a goal by Jack McGregor ’25 less than a minute in. Millbrook quickly responded with a goal not long after from a power play. Hotchkiss Senior Ben Brown ’24 scored again in the first half of the period. The latter half of the period had less action however the Bearcats were able to squeeze in a goal right at the end of the second period from Jake Owens ’24.

While the third period was less intense than the second, Hotchkiss was still able to score twice. The two goals came early in the third period from Brennan Cail ’24 and Jake Owens ’24. Hotchkiss kept Millbrook at bay for the rest of the game conceding just one goal in the last minute of the game. Hotchkiss demonstrated control and skill as they beat Millbrook 6-3. The Bearcats play Brunswick on Monday hoping to win what was a close game last year.
