In their second match of the season, Boys Varsity Squash beat Deerfield 6-1, winning for the first time in three years. The squash courts were filled with Hotchkiss fans as the Bearcats took down their squash rivals in many close matches.
In the number one spot, Uppermid Oscar Okonkwo ’25 beat his opponent 3-1 conceding only one game. Oscar won his games by scores of 11-9, 11-7, 11-4 and lost one 8-11 surrounded by excited fans and a lot of energy.
The longest and closest match of the day was in the number six spot held by Liam Waldron ’25. He was able to beat his opponent 3-2 with many of the games being won by just a few points. It was the fourth win for Hotchkiss, securing the victory.
Rohan Gupta ’26, Eli Levy ’24, Dwyer Illik ’26, and Arvaan Motwane ’26 all beat their opponents 3-0 to give Hotchkiss the win in an amazing and exciting day. The Bearcats only lost one match played by the new Lower mid Parth Khera ’26 in a hard fought battle against Deerfield’s number two player.
Hotchkiss plays Berkshire on December 4th and Salisbury on the 6th hoping to get their 3rd and 4th wins in the coming week.
