On April 26th, the Hotchkiss Boys Varsity Lacrosse team was dominant in a 19-1 victory over their Founders League compatriots, Kent. Coming into the game, the 4-3 team had suffered two extremely close losses at the hands of nationally ranked teams IMG and Brunswick.

However, team morale was high as the Bearcats have had a good record against Kent in the past. In just the first quarter, Hotchkiss pulled ahead to a commanding 9-0 lead and never looked back. An element of Hotchkiss’ success was due to outstanding offensive pressure, in large part thanks to Grant Carle ‘25, the team’s starting FOGO. Not only did he win a large part of the faceoffs to let the team take control of the game, but he also scored a goal.
Zach Lewis ’24, who started in net for the Bearcats, had a light day, with under a dozen shots on goal and letting just one shot through in the final moments of the game.
