Kinnear Qualifies for Nationals
Cal Kinnear ’25 had an outstanding fall representing Hotchkiss Sailing in the singlehanded ILCA 7 Laser class. He placed first at the New England district championship Healy Trophy National Qualifier at the Hyannis Yacht Club in Hyannis, MA on September 24, 2023, securing an invitation to Nationals for the third year in a row.
Kinnear Places 3rd in the Nation at Cressy
At the ISSA Cressy Singlehanded National Championship at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans on October 28, 2023, Cal finished the first day in 7th place with two-thirds of the races completed. With only four races remaining on day two, he took first place in three of them and ended the regatta with a podium finish. Cal is the third-ranked high school ILCA 7 sailor in the US.
