The girls varsity track and field team nearly captured the Founders League title on May 12, finishing just three points behind Taft at the event.

Consistency produced the strong result for the girls team, which placed in the top three in 12 of the 17 events, for a total of 124 points. Taft, Hotchkiss, and third-place Loomis finished nearly 70 points clear of the rest of the field.

Earning Founders League individual titles for Hotchkiss were Hyla Mosher '19 in the 300m hurdles with a time of 50.58 and Grace Bristow '18 in the 1500m run with a time of 5:00.34. Mosher and Bristow also helped power the team to second-place finishes in both relays.

In the field events, Amanda Hill '19 placed in both discus and shot put, and Maddie Rego '19 placed in javelin. Francesca Gunn '21 also placed second in the pole vault.

The boys team finished fourth, trailing Choate, Avon, and champion Loomis. Leading the way for the boys team was Dubem Anwunah '20, who won the high jump at 5'10". Vincent Wu '19 also placed fourth in the event.

Other top-three finishes for the boys team included Fernando Elizondo Junco '19 in pole vault, Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff '19 in the 3000m run, and Obinna Okoli '20 and Meszion Ramsden '20, who placed second and third in the 110m hurdles.
