Unstoppable throughout the game, the Bearcats dominated in every aspect—but particularly in the paint. Senior Captain Leanna Wells ’23 said the team put special emphasis on catching offensive rebounds and converting those into points. She stated that although they managed to beat Westminster 58-41 just under 2 weeks ago, she felt that Hotchkiss more effectively killed off the game this time out by improving their rebounding. Finally, she thanked her teammates for their valiant effort and perseverance.

Morgan Jenkins ’25 was a thorn in the opponent’s side all afternoon, putting 10 points on the board in the first quarter alone and 16 points total. Kaila Richards ’25 also put in a dominant performance, generalling the floor and scoring 8 points (including 2 three-pointers) in the second quarter. This brought the game to a convincing 33-18 scoreline at the half.

Leighton scored 8 points during the game.

Closing out the score at 60-33, the Bearcats extended their winning streak to 8 games.
