The boys and girls varsity golf teams finished their seasons with top-five finishes at a pair of tournaments on Wednesday May 23.

The girls team finished third at the Founders League Championship with a combined team score of 175. Competing for Hotchkiss were Lily Yang '21 (low team score of 40), Courtney Breen '18, Daphne Chao '20, Amanda Kang '18, and Helena Park '18. Anabelle Ackerley '20 also played an exhibition match.

The Bearcats finish their season with an undefeated head-to-head match record (18-0-1), as well as a second-place finish at the Pippy O'Connor tournament last week.

For the boys, Wednesday was actually two tournaments in one. Since weather had washed out the Founders League tournament last Saturday, the member schools agreed to count placing at New Englands for the league title as well.

The team finished in fifth place overall with 399 strokes at the 18-hole event, trailing Taft and Avon for third place in the Founders League. James Horrocks '19 had the low score for the Bearcats with 76, and Michael Gillis '18, Kuma Matsukata '18, Kenneth Wu '19, and Yang Wang '18 also played in the event.

The result is a significant improvement over last season, where the team finished sixth at Founders and eighth at New Englands.
