On Saturday, September 23rd the Hotchkiss Girls Varsity Soccer team significantly outperformed Northfield Mount Hermon in the home game.
Despite unpleasant weather conditions, Bearcats asserted their dominance 10 minutes into the game, with Emmanuella Frimpomaa ’24 scoring the first goal in the game. Just 10 minutes after, Emily Wang ’25 changed the scoring to 2-0, with the Bearcats leading. The Hotchkiss team then provided excitement for the crowd at the end of the game, with Quinn Pollack ’25 scoring an outstanding goal from a free kick, and Emmanuella scoring her second goal in the game just three minutes before the end of the second half.
Important to note the job of the new goalkeeper in the Hotchkiss team, Charlotte Cooper ’27. In her third game as the Hotchkiss Girls Varsity Soccer team member, she successfully prevented the opponents from scoring three times throughout the game.
“We had good possession of the goal, which especially showed toward the end of the game. First half started with energy and the second goal just solidified our intent to win. ” – the player commented after the game.
