Hooper ’14, Cannons Win Major League Lacrosse Title

Scott Hooper ’14 can add some new hardware to his shelf as his Major League Lacrosse team, the Boston Cannons, won the 2020 MLL championship tournament.

The Cannons defeated the Denver Outlaws 13-10, outscoring them in every quarter to take the trophy in Annapolis, MD on July 26.

Hooper, who plays defense, is in his first year with the team and his second year in the MLL after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2018. As a senior, Hooper served as team captain and earned All-American honorable mention recognition.

He also enjoyed a distinguished athletic career at Hotchkiss, earning four varsity letters each in ice hockey and lacrosse. He was captain of the lacrosse team as a senior and received the C. Nelson Corey II Lacrosse Award that year.
