Kasturi ’22 Shatters Diving Records
Meera Kasturi '22

Prep diving phenom Meera Kasturi ’22 smashed her own school and pool diving records with an eye-popping set of dives at the team’s final head-to-head meet against Choate on Feb. 16.

In December, Kasturi set a new school and pool record of 268.10 points for six dives, seven points better than the previous school record. On Saturday, three months later, she bested that mark by nearly 40 points with a total of 307.40.

It was a banner day for the Hotchkiss girls diving team – behind Kasturi, the trio of Olivia King ’19, Eden Oostenink ’20, and Grace Helm ’21 swept the top four places at the event. King also turned in a record-worthy performance with 274.60 points.

The team now prepares to kick off the Founders League championship for Hotchkiss with diving on Wednesday at Westminster. Last year, King set a new school record for 11 dives at Founders with a total of 407.45 points.
