Varsity Mountain Biking Rides to First for Third Time!

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, the Bearcats held their first and only home mountain biking race this season at Hotchkiss. The race was held in the beautiful Beeslick Brook Woods, with the warm and sunny weather accompanying the bikers.


Hotchkiss varsity mountain biking team demonstrated unbelievable results, achieving 1st place out of 8 teams for all the races of the current season. The home race wasn’t an exception.


The Bearcats managed to secure two places on the Category 4 podium and 1 in Category 3. Moreover, Hotchkiss athletes achieved two positions on the podium in the 1st category, with the captain, Sawyer Dillon ’24, achieving the third and a new and undeniably strong member of the team, Asher Frankel ’26, gaining second place.


“We had a great day. We all showed up as a team, and we really showed out.” – Coco Sheronas ’26 described the race afterward.
