The varsity mountain biking team placed two riders in the top five at its home race on Wednesday, Sep. 19, finishing second overall as a team.
The race, the second out of six in the team's schedule this season, was held in the Beeslick Woods and was divided into A-division and B-division courses. Teams from Berkshire, Kent, Kildonan, IMS, Salisbury, and South Kent also competed.
In the A division, the Bearcats had two high finishes with Alex Kulicki '19 (fourth at 38:22) and Alex Takoudes '20 (fifth at 43:00). In the B division, Patton Janssen '20 finished highest (third at 37:33). Duncan Griffin '22 and Clark Dong '22 also competed in the event.
The team's results placed them second behind Kent.
The team will race next at Kildonan on Oct. 3.
