In recognition of the contributions our graduating seniors have made to our athletic programs, we offer these tributes from our coaches and some of our upper mids on each varsity team:
Braden Barlow: Braden is a big, strong lineman. He was a two way starter who played with a passion and a great desire to get better. (Head Coach Danny Smith)
Charles Billings: Charles was a four-year player who worked himself into the starting lineup and had a great season in 2019. He is a high-character kid, and a leader who always supported his teammates. (Smith)
Anthony Moore: Anthony is a student of the game. He loved being on the field, and his energy and positive attitude made our team stronger. (Smith)
Nuno Parache: Nuno is a hard worker who is tough and strong. He improved each week, and he loved working and competing. (Smith)
Ryan Sellew: Ryan was a four-year player who started every game of his Hotchkiss career. He was a two-time captain. Ryan is a tough, physical player, a standout linebacker, and a quiet leader. (Smith)
Luke Stennett: Luke is a big, strong, physical lineman. He is a smart, tough player who has had to battle injuries. (Smith)
Jonah Thomas: Jonah leads by example and pushed his teammates to get better. He is tough, smart, competitive, and a great teammate. (Smith)
Ruben Valenzuela: Ruben is a special talent, a tireless worker who loves the game of football. He is a natural leader. (Smith)
Ethan Vashel: Ethan is a winner, a clutch player who inspired his team each week. He is an athletic quarterback and an outstanding teammate. (Smith)
Mwicgi Wainaina: Mwicgi was a four-year player. He is energetic and emotional. He was a great teammate who was always working to improve his game. (Smith)
AJ Zaccareo: AJ was a two-year starter at tight end. He is a smart, instinctive player with soft hands. He has a positive attitude and enjoys competing. (Smith)
