Maisie Thomas ’15 has won the Presidents Award for academic achievement in her final year at Whitman College.
The award is given annually by the college to the graduating student-athlete with the top grade point average. Thomas, who ran cross country at Whitman, finished her seventh semester with a 3.966 GPA.
This year was a successful one for Thomas on the course as well, as her team won the Northwest Conference cross country title for the first time in more than 20 years back in November.
Thomas earned three varsity letters in cross country and one in track in her three years at Hotchkiss.
