Titcomb ’11, Mixtape win Ultimate Mixed Pro Championships

Qxhna Titcomb ’11 and her club Ultimate Frisbee team, Seattle Mixtape, claimed victory earlier this month at the 2021 Mixed Pro Championships.

The event, held in Boulder, CO over Labor Day weekend, attracted several of the best mixed-gender club Ultimate teams in the country for three days of spirited play. In the end, Mixtape emerged with a relatively comfortable 15-9 win over Fort Collins shame. In the finals.

The win may have been especially sweet for Mixtape, as shame. had handed the team its only loss of the tournament, a narrow 14-12 defeat in the opening game of pool play. After dropping that game, Mixtape cruised through the rest of the field in relatively easy fashion, including a 15-10 semifinal win over Seattle BFG.

Mixtape emerges from the summer and fall as the top-ranked mixed team in the country. Next on the schedule will be competing in this year’s sectional and regional qualifiers, leading to a potential bid to the national championships in San Diego in late October.

If they win in San Diego, Mixtape will represent the U.S. at this year’s world championships.
