Track Teams Shine at Hunt Relays

Both the boys and girls track and field teams recorded some promising results at this year’s Hunt Relays.

The event features both traditional race relays and teams that compete in other field events, with each school scoring the total of all the heights or distances of the athletes in those events.

Leading the way for Hotchkiss was the girls high jump team of Paige Dzenutis ’23, Christa Prasertsintanah ’23, and Amber Bretz ’23, who finished first with a combined height of 15’2”.

The girls team also recorded second place finishes in long jump (Dzenutis, Julia Widen ’24, and Anji Ashaye ’24), the 4x100m relay (Prasertsintanah, Emily Wang ’25, Mackay Bommer ’22, and Fati Salifu ’22), and the 4x400m relay (Prasertsintanah, Bretz, Salifu, and Ashaye).

The boys team also nabbed a trio of second-place finishes in long jump (Anish Reid ’23, Alex Tolis ’23, and Jamil Pandey ’23), the 4x100m relay (Driseth Anderson ’25, Owen Zinn-Keane ’22, Oliver Johnson ’25, and Huck Whittemore ’22), and the 4x400m relay (Zinn-Keane, Axel Nzi ’24, Chase Dobson ’23, and Whittemore).
