On April 30th, the Boys and Girls Varsity Track teams faced off in a 3 team tournament against Deerfield and Founders League rivals Loomis Chaffee. The Girls came in second by just 3 points, and the Boys came in third. However, there were more than a few bright spots for both teams on this day.
Mo Nuhu ’23 ran in both the 4x100-meter relay and the 100-meter dash, performing exceptionally well in both. Not only did he give the Bearcats a sizeable lead running the first leg, helping the team come second in 45.3 seconds, but he ran an unprecedented time for Hotchkiss track in the 100 meters; 10.51 seconds! In addition, the girls dominated in the Long and High jump events, winning gold in both and sweeping the Long Jump for all 3 podium spots!
The Bearcats look to bounce back next Saturday in a tournament against Berkshire and the Millbrook School.
