Thank you for considering a volunteer opportunity at Hotchkiss. Parent volunteers are critical to the success of our programs. Volunteering is a great way to connect with other families and to get to know the School better. The following describes the various volunteer roles in more detail:
Note to returning parents: If you already volunteer and do not wish to change your volunteer role(s), there is no need to re-submit this form.
Parent Greeter: Assist on Opening Day and Parents Weekend in greeting other parents, distributing nametags, and answering questions about the School.
International Student Host: Invites students home for school breaks. See separate form below for details.
Parent Fundraising Agent: Reaches out to fellow parents, via phone calls and e-mails, for financial support of the Hotchkiss Parent Fund. Training is provided on the Thursday afternoon of Parents Weekend. Parent Agents are invited to the annual Leadership Weekend in late September to learn more about Hotchkiss during various sessions, workshops and meals with faculty, students, and administrators. This is a team of approximately 65 families.
Event Host: Helps to organize and host (either in home or at another venue) events for parents and alumni in various geographic regions.
“Hotchkiss Vintage” Clothing Closet Manager: Coordinates annual clothing drive to provide items for Hotchkiss students in need.
Admission Outreach: Helps the admission office to gain a better understanding of regional markets and helps with contact with prospective families –– through parent-to-parent contact and/or by attending or hosting admission events.
Other: Do you have a special skill or talent to share with Hotchkiss? There are a variety of ways to become involved. Please use the space below to let us know of your areas of expertise and how you might be interested in sharing those with Hotchkiss.
