Stuart Salomon earned a B.A. in English and History from SUNY-Albany and an M.A.T. from the School for International Training.  He also holds a Licentiate Diploma from Trinity College (London) in Teaching English as a Second Language, as well as a Certificate in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language from the Royal Society of the Arts (London).  Mr. Salomon has over 30 years of teaching experience and has taught English (including AP English and IB English), Literature, Composition and ESL at Deerfield Academy, Jakarta International School, North Jakarta International School and National High Junior-Senior School (Jakarta).  Mr. Salomon currently works with ETS as a reader for the AP English Language and Composition exam and as a reader for the International English Examination.  He also works with the IB program as an Assistant Moderator (Language Competence, Internal Assessment Component) and Assistant Examiner (Extended Essay Component).  Mr. Salomon has served as a speaker, workshop leader and author in the U.S., Singapore, Indonesia and India.  Other roles during his career have included service in the Peace Corps, teaching in Teheran and working as co-director of the ESL program in the summer program at Phillips Academy.  At Hotchkiss, he teaches two sections of English and provides English language support and instruction through the Study Skills Department.  Mr. Salomon lives on campus with his wife, Manjula.
