Art Students Take Top State Awards, Works Selected for Special Exhibit

Sixteen Hotchkiss students took top honors in the 29th annual Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards, including eight "Gold Key" winners.

Winning submissions are included in an exhibit on view at the Silpe Gallery, Hartford Art School Jan. 14 – Feb. 3, with an awards ceremony and reception taking place Sunday, Jan. 28, 2-3:30 p.m. at Hartford Art School's Lincoln Theater.

In addition, in December, Hotchkiss students Dear Liu '19, Nicholas Lorentzen '20, Alex McLane '20, Krishna Sivakumar '18, Zoe Wilson '19, and Shania Zhu '18 all contributed work to "All Art is Political!?!," an exhibit co-organized by the Art Association of New England Preparatory Schools and Lesley University College of Art and Design. The exhibit was installed in the Lunder Arts Center's Raizes Gallery on the Lesley campus in Cambridge, MA.
