Athletic Facilities

The Forrest E. Mars Jr. Athletic Center (MAC) is a 212,000-square-foot facility. Since it opened in 2002, the MAC has become the heart of the athletics program, housing the majority of the indoor practice and game facilities. The building includes:

  • 4,000-square-foot Field House with multi-purpose playing surfaces and a two-lane, 1/11th-mile elevated indoor exercise track
  • The 10-lane Hixon Pool with a separate diving well
  • Two ice hockey rinks: the Thomas Schmidt Rink (NHL-size, 200 ft. x 85 ft.) and Andrew K. Dwyer and Martin Dwyer III Rink (Olympic, 200 ft. x 100 ft.)
  • William C. Fowle Gymnasium (hardwood-floor basketball court)
  • Edward R. Davis Wrestling Room
  • Joseph Cullman Squash Courts - eight international courts
  • William and Martha Ford Indoor Tennis Courts - three indoor courts
  • John R. Chandler, Jr. Fitness Center
  • Training rooms
  • Locker rooms and shower facilities.
