Athletic Facilities
The Forrest E. Mars Jr. Athletic Center (MAC) is a 212,000-square-foot facility. Since it opened in 2002, the MAC has become the heart of the athletics program, housing the majority of the indoor practice and game facilities. The building includes:
- 4,000-square-foot Field House with multi-purpose playing surfaces and a two-lane, 1/11th-mile elevated indoor exercise track
- The 10-lane Hixon Pool with a separate diving well
- Two ice hockey rinks: the Thomas Schmidt Rink (NHL-size, 200 ft. x 85 ft.) and Andrew K. Dwyer and Martin Dwyer III Rink (Olympic, 200 ft. x 100 ft.)
- William C. Fowle Gymnasium (hardwood-floor basketball court)
- Edward R. Davis Wrestling Room
- Joseph Cullman Squash Courts - eight international courts
- William and Martha Ford Indoor Tennis Courts - three indoor courts
- John R. Chandler, Jr. Fitness Center
- Training rooms
- Locker rooms and shower facilities.
